Lamb Koftas Made On The Farm.

We watched the Food Network Channel the other night on one of the free channels.  They made lamb Koftas.  So we thought we would have a go at making them.

If you want to make them you will need:

500 G of lamb and beef minced mixed together.  Place a big dessert spoon each of Chilli, Mint , Coriander, Cumin and chopped Almonds.  You can use fresh spices if you can get them.  Add salt and pepper to taste.

Mix together and make into sausage shapes and leave in the fridge for an hour or so.  Then cook in the oven until the juices run clear.

The sauce is made from natural yogurt, Coriander and Mint.  We served them with red onion, lettuce, tomato and a Vintage Irish cheese.

Again they weren't really spicy enough for me.  I think in future we would use fresh Chilies.

Next time I will blog about some traditional Irish food.  Variety is the spice of life, don't they say?

  3. Hi L A. Will do. I read somewhere that Guinness was actually first brewed in London and stout was made from roasted barley in Ireland because they didn't grow hops here. I actually prefer Murphy's which is a Cork brewed stout.

    2. Black beer. I have heard Guinness called Porter and "Liffey Water." After the river that runs through Dublin. It is good to live in Ireland. I think it's a lot colder and wetter than where you are. Thanks!

  5. When I visited Dublin I hopped on the hop on - hop off bus and went for a scenic city tour. Strangely all the other passengers, and there were many, hopped off at the Guinness Brewery, leaving me on my own on the top deck with the whole wonderful blarney city to myself.

    1. Hi Gwil. Yes I believe Guinness Brewery is quite a tourist attraction these days. I have never been myself. Been to Dublin of course. Mainly when we came by ferry to Dublin and Dun Laoghaire on our way to spend our holidays in West Cork. I have visited Dalwhinnie whisky in the Scottish Highlands, home of my favourite whisky. Thanks!

    1. Hi Kev. The koftas were good and you always feel good when you have achieved another recipe success. Peri Peri chicken is a Portuguese dish. Wish I was there. Good on you for making different countries meals.

  7. These koftas sound pretty tasty Dave. I might try them. Arsenal were lucky yesterday - I was following it on Twitter some of the time but didn't actually see the match.

    1. Thanks Rachel. I watched the match. United played really well like when they played Burnley and Stoke. They look very good but like Jose said they have no luck this season. Think the ASrsenal came for the draw. I think we will see the real Premiership positions now there are no internationals until March. Great Arsenal goal. Will catch up with your blog when you next post. Thanks!

  8. How Herbal Medicine Cured me completely. Does anyone still doubt natural herbs? I've seen the great importance of natural supplements and the wonderful work they have done in people's lives. I wonder why people still spend their money on surgery, injections and drugs each time they are sick. My Diabetes was totally cured with natural herbs. Earlier this year I was diagnosed type 2 diabetes and my blood sugar was very high, I was recommended to use insulin medication which later have side effect on my health, I decided to stop using insulin medication and was recommended to use Herbal medicine after I read series of testimony of doctor ELINFOH Herbal medicine on the internet, bloggers site and radio stations, I purchased Dr.ELINFOH  herbal medicine for diabetes which he sent to my address through a delivery company and I received the herbal medicine within a couple of weeks  and the doctor directed me how to use the herbal medicine for 21 days. After concluding the herbal medicine I decided to go for a blood test and my blood sugar was detected to be normal, Today I am diabetes free with no side effects. Contact Dr ELINFOH  via  email: drelinfohherbalhome@gmail.com  or Call/Whatsapp +2348110492072 for more information.
